Mechanical / Piping Design

Mechanical / Piping DesignSACAL’s Mechanical/Piping engineering group is responsible for providing the mechanical integrity of equipment and piping systems. With 30+ years of experience in this area, our expertise and knowledge of Mechanical/Piping systems is unmatched within the industrial workplace. By utilizing the most state of the art technology in the industry today, we are able to deliver effective and highly efficient services. We offer the following engineering services:

Mechanical Engineering (Including but not limited to)

  • Specifications -Provide a full range of specifications including customized detailed piping, painting, heat tracing and
  • Mechanical design -Perform code calculations, provide detailed fabrication drawings and develop parameters for safe operating pressure and temperature while determining the needs and in-depth mechanical design of vessels, tanks and exchangers using Pvelite, ETank and PRG(FEA)
  • Equipment and sizing specifications -Develop detailed equipment specifications as required to obtain quotations and select suppliers for all process and utility equipment associated with retrofits and new
  • Stress Analysis – Using Caesar II software and expertise to efficiently perform stress analysis on hot lines and piping networks to assure a design that protects piping and equipment from damage or failure due to excessive

Facility Layout/Piping (Including but not limited to)

  • Layout and Location plan studies – Develop detailed manufacturing plant layout designs including buildings, plant equipment, machinery, storage and warehousing facilities and shipping and receiving
  • Isometrics – Develop and design entire piping systems with a network of connected pipes, a single pipe or a single spool with prefabricated assembly, piping connections to equipment or to other piping and locating piping in the units in which they are to be
  • Piping Design and Drafting -Provide piping plans, sections and isometric drawings using AutoCAD and Micro Station along with Bentley third party software in a 2-D or 3-D
  • Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’ s) – Revise existing P&ID’s, develop and design new P&ID’s for new processes, convert existing drawings to CAD drawings and make field walk-downs to verify and update piping and instrumentation
