SACAL Global to provide Emergency Environmental Disaster Response to FAA

SACAL Environmental & Management Company (SACAL) has been awarded a contract by the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to provide Emergency Environmental Disaster Response Services. SACAL was one of the top three firms whose offers were found to represent the overall best value to the government. The term will be for one base year and three one-year option periods for requirements due to both natural and man-made disasters. The work will include, but not limited to oil spill response, hazardous materials containment, collection, storage, treatment/disposal, site characterization, soils and groundwater assessments and remediation, decontamination, abatement, demolition and cleanup of sites following natural disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, and earthquakes. This contract covers various locations throughout the FAA Eastern Service Area, which consists of Southern states of AL, FL, GA, KY, MS, NC, PR, SC, TN, and USVI, including eastern and southern portions of AR, IL, IN, LA, MO and OH, Eastern states of DE, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, and WV, and New England states of CT, ME, MA, NH, RI, and VT. Offshore facilities are included as well, and will cover multiple sites in the Bahamas; Balboa, Republic of Panama; Bermuda; Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos; Montevideo, Uruguay; St. Marten, and Netherland Antilles.
